Henry Mancini:
Monstrous

Radio Symphony of Cracow, "Monstrous Movie
Music", Monstrous #MMM-1950 (1996).[CD]
This album contains
Mancini's "End Title" from IT CAME FROM OUTER
SPACE.

Radio Symphony of Cracow, "More Monstrous Movie
Music", Monstrous #MMM-1951 (1996).[CD]
"More Monstrous Movie Music" has excerpts from
Mancini's "The Thing Strikes" from TARANTULA. The cue was originally
written for IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE and re-used in the 1955
film.

"Creature From the Black Lagoon (and other
jungle pictures)", Monstrous #MMM-1952 (2000).[CD]
This album contains the following Mancini cues:
"The Diver," "Marine Life," "Digger's Failure," "Unknown River,"
"Duke's Little Helper," "Monster Caught," "Minyora's Plan," "Monster
Gets Mark, Part 1," and "Monster Gets Mark, Part 2." There's also a
"bonus" version of "Unknown River" containing music cut from the
film. Some of the composers' cues in CREATURE were originally written
for other pictures, or else contain some music that was originally
written for other pictures. Henry and the other Universal composers
often wrote music combining their library tracks and their new
material. Some of the material Henry wrote for CREATURE originally
came from his cues for EAST OF SUMATRA and THE GREAT SIOUX UPRISING,
although a lot of his writing was original to the picture.
"This
Island Earth (and other alien invasion films)", Monstrous #MMM-1954
(2001).[CD]
No album photos currently available.
This album will contain the two cues Mancini wrote
for THIS ISLAND EARTH: "Amorous Mutant" and 'Metaluna Catastrophe,
Part 2." Fabulous music, and these recordings contain music cut from
the films.
